Meet Our New Physician
The Urology Institute of South Bay are proud to announce the association of Dr. Kambiz Dardashti, board certified urologist, for the practice of general urology. He brings with him special expertise in the fields of urologic oncology and laparoscopic surgery.
College Education
Dr. Dardashti attended UCLA on a Regents scholarship and received his Bachelors of Science in Biology. He graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and was recognized by the Departments Highest Honor for his research contribution and thesis on the Human Genome Project.
Medical Education
Dr. Dardashti continued his medical education at UCLA School of medicine, where he was honored with multiple awards, including one from American Foundation for Urologic Disease for his research on new genetic treatment for prostate cancer, as well as multiple scholarships for excellence in medicine.
Urological Training
Dr. Dardashti completed his General Urological training at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York City including special training in Laparoscopic Surgery. He also received part of his training at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, with emphasis on treatment of prostate and other urologic cancer. Dr. Dardashti was recognized in the course of his surgical training with a multitude of awards and honors, including Distinguished House Staff Award in the Department of Urology. Dr. Dardashti has authored scientific articles on prostate cancer, infertility, and benign prostatic hyperplasia, and has written a chapter on the management of kidney cancer.
Memberships and Affiliations
Dr. Dardashti is a member of the American Urological Association,
American Endourological Society, and American College of Surgeons. He has hospital affiliations at the Torrance Memorial Hospital, the Little Company of Mary Hospital, and the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
